Working in Nottingham
Nottingham housing is varied enough that no two jobs are the same. A Victorian terrace off the Mansfield Road has different problems to a nineties semi in the suburbs, which has different problems again to a converted apartment in the Lace Market. Old floors are rarely level, old walls are rarely square, and the waste runs are wherever somebody put them decades ago.
That is the work. Surveying properly, drawing it accurately, and pricing the room in front of us rather than a standard one.
